
In a poignant act of remembrance, Denton County marked its 29th Annual Fallen Officers Memorial yesterday, paying homage to the law enforcement officers who have laid down their lives while serving their communities. The memorial was a solemn occasion for reflection and honor.
As reported by the Lewisville Police Department's social media, the Denton County Sheriff's Office ceremony acknowledged the valor of 21 officers whose end of watch came all too soon. Among the remembered was Officer Aaron Sherwood, a poignant reminder of the personal toll behind the badge.
Officers from various law enforcement bodies, among them the Carrollton, Texas, Police Department and the City of Denton Police Department, gathered in a collective tribute. Also in attendance were the Texas Rangers, Cross Roads, and Little Elm Police Departments, reinforcing the sense of brotherhood that binds those who serve and protect.
