The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has announced the apprehension of a motorcyclist whose high-speed antics had transformed a high-crash corridor into a scene of reckless endangerment. On Thursday, this dangerous behavior was brought to a halt when deputies successfully stopped and arrested 40-year-old Brandon Watts from Denver, as reported by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

In a swiftly executed operation, Deputy Vincent, part of the Traffic Unit, spotted Watts zooming 67 MPH on University Blvd, a 45 MPH zone. Watts threw caution to the wind and attempted to evade the law, zipping through traffic without regard, even taking advantage of a bicycle lane to sidestep vehicles at dangerous speeds. As per the social media post, Deputies Montgomery and Brown coordinated to block Watts at a red light, leading to his arrest without causing injuries or damage.

The 40-year-old is now facing a serious slew of charges, which include Felony Eluding, being a Habitual Traffic Offender, No Insurance, Unregistered Vehicle, Obstruction, and Reckless Driving, along with Multiple Active Warrants. What's more, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is taking further action by initiating the vehicle forfeiture process to claim the motorcycle used in the criminal activities.
