The DeSoto Police Department recently took to social media to celebrate the newest additions to their team, detailing the induction of four police officers into their ranks. In a Facebook post, Police Chief Joe Costa and his department extended their warmest congratulations to Officers Linus Hulet, Sterling Linton, Jazziel Gonzalez, and Estifanos Woldegiorgis, the latter joining through a lateral transfer.
The trio of Hulet, Linton, and Gonzalez are recent graduates from the police academy, having completed both the academy's rigorous program and post-academy in-service training at the DeSoto Police Department. They are now moving forward to field training, which marks the final step before full deployment on the streets. Notably, Officer Hulet not only graduated but also served as the vice president for his class at the academy and secured a notable second-place rank in physical fitness proficiency, an achievement the department felt proud to highlight.
Officer Estifanos Woldegiorgis brings experience from another agency to the team; his perspective and skills garnered from his previous tenure are expected to complement the fresh energy and newly minted skills of his fellow recruits. The DeSoto Police Department's post emphasizes the department's commitment to safety, integrity, and pride in serving the community as these officers begin to assume their roles in the field.
