According to the Newton County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to the store on Salem Road in Covington around 8:50 a.m. after receiving reports of an "isolated altercation." A statement obtained by FOX 5 indicated that during the argument, one of the men involved proceeded to quickly pull out a firearm. Fortunately, the gun was not fired, and no injuries have been reported.
Following the confrontation, both individuals decided to leave the premises before authorities arrived.
