
The Dover Police Department is investigating the distribution of inappropriate photos among middle school students in the Dover-Sherborn school district.
According to the Dover Police Department's post on Facebook, the incident was reported in September 2024, prompting an investigation that involved interviews with students and their families, as well as a forensic examination. The investigation revealed that a male student had shared images of female classmates, along with additional explicit photos of unknown origin.
Due to the involvement of minors, specific details about the individuals and the nature of the images have not been disclosed. The Norfolk County District Attorney's Office has filed charges through the juvenile court system.
The Dover Police Department emphasized its commitment to supporting the victims and ensuring their well-being throughout the investigation. The department also reaffirmed its dedication to the safety and dignity of all students and will continue to collaborate with schools and families to prevent and address any behavior that threatens that commitment.
