Yesterday morning, a road rage incident on Interstate 10 in Goodyear escalated into gunfire, leaving one driver injured. The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) is actively investigating the shooting, which took place just after 4 a.m. near Sarival Avenue, as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix. "One vehicle fired multiple rounds into the second vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg. This investigation is ongoing," the DPS said in a statement obtained by the news outlet.
According to details provided by DPS officials to ABC 15, the confrontation occurred near Estrella Parkway, with one vehicle shooting at another multiple times. The injured party was subsequently taken to the hospital with injuries that were not expected to be life-threatening.
