
The Northwest Campus has announced they will resume regular operations starting Friday, May 2, following a brief closure due to a water main leak that had affected the school's facilities, specifically NWECHS & NW Campus. As reported by EPCC News, the leak led to a shutdown while repairs were underway, the cafeteria remaining the only section still without water service.
Efforts to address the issue have culminated in the restoration of water to the campus, save for the aforementioned ECHS Cafeteria, which continues to be under repair; this repair process was quick however, and the administration has expressed gratitude for the community's patience during this time in a statement obtained by El Paso Community College. Students, faculty, and staff are expected to return to their academic routines as the facility emerges from this untimely disruption.
According to EPCC News, all previously scheduled activities and classes will proceed as planned, with the campus ready to welcome back its population. The swift repair of the water main leak underscores the school's commitment to minimal downtime and maximized educational continuity for its students.
Further updates regarding the status of the ECHS Cafeteria and any potential alterations to dining services as a result of this delay, will be communicated as available, the school's maintenance team has been working diligently alongside local technicians to ensure the return to complete normalcy, which includes full access to all campus amenities and the ability of every student to dine on site at the earliest chance possible.
