According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, the incident unfolded around 8:06 PM when deputies were dispatched to the Hampton Village Apartments following multiple emergency calls about a shooting.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officials discovered an adult male with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was subsequently rushed to a local hospital. His injuries have been described as non-life-threatening. The Sheriff's Office indicated that the shooting followed an altercation involving several males outside the apartment complex, which then escalated to gunfire.
