The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) reported the incident at approximately 2:30 a.m. and has not yet announced a clearing time. As of 7 a.m., the road remains obstructed, as confirmed by KTSM.
Further details of the accident near Biggs Field and Fort Bliss have emerged from on-site reports by ABC-7. Their crew described a chilling tableau, where a white sheet appears to be covering a body, however, there has been no official confirmation regarding injuries or fatalities. Military police were seen managing the situation at the scene, according to ABC-7.
With information still unfolding, officials have yet to disclose the root cause of the crash or how many vehicles were involved.
