Nonetheless, at the start of the day, the weather service reported “A Few Clouds” with the temperature at 59°F and a low dewpoint of 16°F, pointing to a dry air quality.
As the evening approaches, El Paso skies will remain mostly clear with the thermometer poised to drop around 58 degrees. Although the wind, originating from the west southwest at 5 to 8 mph, is expected to become lighter and shift direction after midnight. Into Friday, the sun continues its reign with temperatures climbing marginally higher to 85 degrees and the winds, though still light, adopting a southern touch at 5 to 9 mph in the morning, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service further predicts that the upcoming weekend could bring a slight shift in weather patterns. While Saturday maintains sunny skies, a 30 percent chance of showers enters the forecast, mainly after noon. As the day progresses, so does the breeze, gusting as high as 20 mph out of the east southeast.
Looking toward Sunday, El Pasoans should take note of the 20 percent chance of showers before noon, followed by the potential of patchy blowing dust in the afternoon. The sunny disposition persists, however, as temperatures are slated to soar near 85 degrees. "Patchy blowing dust before 9 pm,” adds the forecast for Sunday night, continuing the trend of clear skies but with a belt of wind from the west reaching as much as 25 mph in gusts.
By the time Monday rolls in, the weather leans back into familiar territory with a continuation of sun-filled skies and a high in the low 80s. Similar conditions are expected through Wednesday, making for a consistent streak of sunny days with comfortable nighttime lows around 55 degrees.
