Drivers in Iberia Parish should expect delays on LA 344 at the Morbihan Bridge over Bayou Teche. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced alternating lane closures next week, on Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.
The closures are necessary for routine bridge inspections to maintain safety. The road will stay open to general traffic, but there will be a 12-foot lane restriction for oversized loads.
Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises drivers to use caution and remain alert for workers and equipment in the area. Emergency vehicles will have access but may experience minor delays.
