
A stabbing in San Marcos has left one man dead, authorities reported today. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department stated that deputies responded to an emergency call on the 600 block of Richmar Avenue, around 4:55 PM yesterday, where they found a man in his twenties with severe injuries. Despite immediate medical attention and transport to a hospital, the victim was pronounced dead at 7 PM. The sheriff's department withholds the victim's name until family can be notified.
As of the incident, a suspect was detained at the scene, and sheriff's homicide detectives have taken charge of the investigation. According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, interviews with witnesses and the collection of further evidence are underway. The department stressed that this appears to be an isolated incident, with no outstanding suspects and no ongoing threat to the community.
