The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested Andrew Howard Whaley, 61, of Cumming, GA, on multiple charges related to child molestation and child pornography.
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation release, in Lumpkin County, Whaley faces one count of aggravated child molestation, one count of child molestation, and one count of possession of child pornography. In Forsyth County, he is charged with six counts of creation of child pornography and thirteen counts of eavesdropping/surveillance.
The investigation began last month following reports of alleged molestation in Lumpkin County. Earlier this month, GBI agents and the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office executed search warrants at Whaley’s cabin and a related business, uncovering child pornography and a hidden bathroom camera reportedly used to film minors at his Forsyth County home.
Whaley was arrested and is currently being held at the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office. The investigation is ongoing. Authorities are asking anyone with additional information to contact the GBI Regional Investigative Office in Cleveland or submit a tip online or via the GBI mobile app. The case will be reviewed for prosecution by the Enotah Circuit District Attorney's Office and the Bell-Forsyth District Attorney's Office.
