A former Murray County school bus driver is facing a felony charge for grooming a minor, an arrest that has caused ripples of concern throughout the Dalton, GA community. On Thursday, April 24, Kenneth Knight, age 55, was arrested following an investigation initiated by the GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigation) into allegations of inappropriate contact with students. Knight, who was employed by the Murray County School System up until the allegations surfaced, is now being held at the Murray County Adult Detention Center.
The GBI was called in to assist with the investigation by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office, setting into motion a thorough probe into Knight's actions during his tenure as a school bus driver. The investigation remains active and ongoing, as officials diligently work to uncover the full scope of the accusations.
