A car crash at Boston Logan International Airport sent four women to the hospital after their SUV struck an open manhole near Terminal E. According to 7NEWS, the incident happened Wednesday on an outbound road, causing the vehicle to briefly go airborne and spin around before landing in the opposite direction.
MassPort confirmed that the manhole was being worked on at the time. All four women—two in their 20s, one in her 50s, and one in her 80s—were transported to a Boston hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A MassPort spokesperson told 7NEWS they are reviewing the incident and inspecting manholes across the airport to prevent future accidents.
The Massachusetts State Police are investigating the crash, with assistance from Massport Fire and Boston EMS. WCVB reports the investigation is ongoing.
