As of today, the Gatlinburg Trolley System has resumed extended hours, operating daily from 8:30 a.m. to midnight to accommodate increased seasonal activity. The system serves four distinct routes throughout the city, providing transportation for both residents and visitors.
According to the City of Gatlinburg release, the Red Route begins at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies and travels through River Road and several key traffic light checkpoints along the Parkway. The Purple Route connects the Gatlinburg Welcome Center, Westgate Resorts, and the Parkway. The Blue Route covers the eastern section of the city along U.S. Highway 321 between Traffic Lights Nos. 3 and 5.
The Yellow Route runs from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., serving the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community via Glades and Buckhorn Roads. All trolley routes start and end at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies.
Passengers can use the real-time GPS Locator, available online or through the Visit Gatlinburg mobile app, to track trolley locations and arrival times. More information is available by searching “Gatlinburg Trolley” on the Apple iOS and Android app stores, as per the same release.
