Gunfire broke out Sunday morning at JD’s Bar and Grill in Pelham. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has taken the helm, following a request from local law enforcement, to unpack the events that left one man in critical condition and another treated and released. The incident occurred at a nocturnal hour, around 2:10 a.m., at the local bar located at 181 Mitchell Street, as reported by GBI.
Gunshots rang out during the night, drawing police to JD’s Bar and Grill, where they found two men wounded. A 24-year-old man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition. A 42-year-old man was treated and released. Police responded quickly after receiving multiple reports of the shooting. Authorities have not made any arrests or identified any suspects at this time.
The GBI has not closed the doors on assistance from the public. They are calling on anyone with potentially pertinent information to step forward and help knit together the narrative that started and ended with bullets fired.
