Bringing science-driven nutrition for our four-legged friends, the $450 million investment expects to offer 270 full-time roles within five years, all while aiming to fill the bowls of 4 million pets annually.
Behind the scenes, financial incentives are playing their part. JobsOhio threw a $3.5 million grant to the project, and Mars's commitment to Ohio has been welcomed with open arms and open wallets, too. A hefty 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit landed in Royal Canin's kitty back in 2021, acting as a catalyst for this massive launch.
DeWine couldn't hide his enthusiasm when referring to the positive implications of Royal Canin's decision to nestle in Ohio soil. "The decision by Royal Canin and parent company Mars to locate its new facility in Ohio represents a significant vote of confidence in Ohio's business environment, our talented, highly-trained workforce, and our outstanding quality of life," he beamed during the event.
