During a recent traffic stop on Interstate 20, Haralson County deputies uncovered a significant haul of illegal firearms, including one stolen gun and three equipped with machine conversion devices. As reported by FOX 5 Atlanta, Deputy Michael Manson made the discovery after pulling over a white Dodge Charger for its darkly tinted windows.

The operation quickly escalated when Manson sensed the smell of marijuana and the driver, David Antonio Huggins, admitted he lacked a license. Huggins and three other men were promptly removed from the car when a passenger was observed attempting to conceal items, according to a statement obtained by WSB-TV. This prompted an extensive search leading to the seizure of the six firearms.

All four men, including Huggins, Tyrese Dwayne White, Marcorellis Lanorris Burns, and Taequan Herndon, have been charged with felonies ranging from possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony to criminal use of an article with an altered identification mark. They were taken into custody and booked at the Haralson County Detention Center.

Haralson County Sheriff Stacy Williams underscored the significance of this instance, remarking, "This is yet another case where traffic enforcement makes a big difference," as per an interview with FOX 5 Atlanta. "We not only recovered a stolen weapon but were able to take three dangerous and illegal firearms off the streets. The Crime Suppression Operational Interstate Task Force with Douglas County Sheriff’s Office continues to pay dividends, this time by getting illegal weapons off of the streets." The details surrounding the retention of legal representation by the accused remain uncertain at this time.
