John Garside was charged on Monday by the Honolulu Police Department with Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and multiple firearms offenses. The charges were announced in an update on the Honolulu Police Department’s official social media channels.
According to the Honolulu Police Department on their Facebook page, Garside’s bail has been set at $1 million. He was arrested in connection with an incident where a 23-year-old woman was found bleeding on Tantalus Drive. She was treated for a gunshot wound at The Queen's Medical Center and is now in stable condition.
Garside was arrested last Saturday near Vineyard Boulevard after being wanted since last Wednesday for allegedly shooting a woman who refused his sexual demands, as mentioned by Hoodline. The woman was injured and had to seek help on her own. The Honolulu Police Department reported that Garside also faces charges including Place to Keep, Felon in Possession, and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Separate Felony.
