The Irving Police Department took to social media to celebrate the achievements of its workforce at the 2025 1st Quarter Merit and Tenure Awards Ceremony. An impressive cohort of 75 employees was honored for their commitment and excellence in various capacities.
Among the recognized, 29 officers were celebrated for their long-term service to the department, with years of service spanning from 5 to 35 years, marking periods of consistent dedication to their duties and the community. Also noted for commendable performance, 26 employees were recognized for safe driving over the same impressive time range, demonstrating their unwavering professionalism and attention to duty.
In addition to the service and lifesaving accolades, two employees were awarded the Certificate of Civic Achievement, acknowledging their contributions that extend beyond the call of duty and engage with the community at large. Another set of 13 received Certificate of Merit Bars, and one was honored with the distinct Police Commendation Bar, a marker of notable service. The Irving Police Department emphasized the significance of these awards by stating, "We are proud of your achievements—keep up the outstanding work!" in their social media post.
