Starting May 27, a stretch of Crescent Drive from Watauga Street to E. Center Street is getting a facelift. Both lanes will be off-limits to vehicles until July 12 because Thomas Construction needs the road cleared for repairs and reconstruction. According to a release on the City of Kingsport's official website, drivers should anticipate detour signs and traffic barrels guiding them around the construction zone. Motorists navigating the vicinity are urged to proceed with care since workers will be present.
