The Knoxville Police Department is calling on the public to help piece together a shooting incident that occurred in the Montgomery Village community this past Wednesday. According to a social media post from the department, multiple gunshots were fired into two occupied apartments around 4:30 p.m.

By a fortunate circumstance, no casualties or physical injuries were reported despite the severity of the incident. Witnesses in the vicinity reported seeing a gray Dodge Ram pick-up truck speeding away from the scene just after the shots rang out.

While the search for the shooter, or shooters, continues, Knoxville Police urge anyone with information to step forward. "Anyone with information that could potentially identify who was responsible for the shooting is asked to contact detectives at 865-215-8600," the department relayed.
