The DC Police Leadership Academy is set to add one more graduate to its esteemed ranks, as KPD West District Executive Officer Lt. Brian Bumpus completes his training. The academy, praised for its high caliber of law enforcement leadership instruction, will see Bumpus graduate tomorrow in a ceremony that marks the culmination of his hard work and dedication.
In a recent showing of camaraderie and support among law enforcement officials, Chief Paul Noel shared his wealth of experiences with the academy's attendees. Chief Noel, recounting critical leadership lessons from his time managing the complexities of Hurricane Katrina, spoke at the academy today. "I had the privilege of presenting at the DC Police Leadership Academy today," said Noel in a social media post, "recounting my experiences and the instrumental leadership lessons I learned during Hurricane Katrina." Lt. Brian Bumpus, who is set to graduate tomorrow, was among the class members attending Noel's presentation.
The DC Police Leadership Academy, recognized as one of the nation's premier training grounds for law enforcement leadership, received accolades from Noel in his social media post as well. Thanking Jessica Bress with the Washington Metropolitan Police Dept. for extending the invitation and coordinating the academy, Noel emphasized that the program is "one of the absolute best law enforcement leadership training opportunities offered anywhere in the country."
