According to the DOTD announcement, the LA 6 bridge over the Red River will undergo a routine inspection, which means traffic will be trimmed to one lane. The closure is scheduled for Tuesday, May 27, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, provided the weather holds up.
The bridge, identified by DOTD as Bridge #083500340604021, sits 2.3 miles north of JCT 3175—so if you're a local or just passing through, mark your calendars, and plan ahead. While a detour won’t be necessary since one lane of the bridge will remain open, delays are always a distinct possibility. A DOTD release stresses, "No detour will be needed as one lane will be open at all times."
