The stretch of LA 82 between N. Island Road and one mile east of N. Island Road in Cameron Parish has officially reopened. The road had been closed for construction, causing detours and delays.
According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), as of yesterday the roadway is open to traffic. However, drivers are advised to remain cautious, as work crews and equipment may still be present in the area.
