
The La Vergne Police Department is currently seeking information regarding a man who fled on foot after crashing into a power pole on Hollandale Road on Thursday night. The incident, which occurred near the intersection of Bill Stewart Boulevard, resulted in a power outage that affected about 900 residents in the Lake Forest Subdivision according to WSMV.
Following the crash at approximately 10 p.m., Nashville Electric Service (NES) was contacted and, their crews responded to inspect and initiate repairs on the damaged power pole. In a statement obtained by WSMV, the La Vergne Police shared that due to the extent of the damage, NES had to cut power in the affected area, though no timeline for restoration was provided at the moment of reporting. As of now, the search for the driver continues, with the suspect last seen wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt, and possibly "carrying his vehicle’s license plate."
Further details of the suspect were described by officials, and the La Vergne Police Department is now calling upon the community for assistance in locating the Hispanic male, who is approximately 5’6”. This account was reaffirmed in a report by WGNS Radio, adding that the suspect was observed running east on Hollandale Road after the accident.
