Drivers on I-10 Eastbound and Westbound from Jennings to Whiskey Bay should expect lane closures later this week. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced that the left lane in both directions will be closed for herbicide application starting tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. and continuing through Friday at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.
The affected stretch runs from Exit 65 in Jennings to Exit 127 in Whiskey Bay, impacting Acadia, Lafayette, and St. Martin Parishes. During this time, all permit and oversize loads, as well as emergency vehicles, will still be allowed to pass.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises drivers to use caution in work zones and be aware of crews and equipment in the area.
