The Las Vegas Athletic Clubs on North Rainbow Boulevard reopened on Monday. According to 8 News Now, the reopening follows a shooting last Friday that left employee Edgar Quinonez, 31, dead and three others injured.
A shooting occurred at the Las Vegas Athletic Clubs, where the gunman was killed by police after an exchange of gunfire. Las Vegas Athletic Clubs confirmed through an employee phone call that the fitness center is now open. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Las Vegas Athletic Club shared social media posts about Quinonez, a staff member described as a “beloved part of the LVAC family for 15 years.” The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department identified the officers involved in the shooting as Kaid Urban, 29; Skeeter Black, 44; and Aaron Javier, 37, from the community safety division, Bolden Area Command.
Police are expected to release further information regarding the motive and circumstances of the shooting once the investigation concludes. In the meantime, the community continues to respond to the incident’s impact. The Las Vegas Athletic Clubs has reopened, marking a return to regular operations following the event.
