
The Walk of Honor will be held at Police Memorial Park in Las Vegas on May 23, starting at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Shelley Berkley and Councilwoman Francis Allen Palenske are inviting the community to participate in the event to honor fallen military personnel, according to the City of Las Vegas.
The City of Las Vegas is organizing a memorial event where attendees are encouraged to carry flags and a photo of a fallen service member. Nearly 7,000 flags will be displayed at the event. Participants will receive candles, provided by Councilwoman Allen Palenske, while supplies last.
Major CJ Wilkinson from the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency will give a presentation on the identification and return of a fallen service member from Nevada at an event. The gathering will be held at a park, with the south end accessible despite ongoing renovations. The event will provide an opportunity for the community to honor military sacrifices ahead of Memorial Day weekend, as reported by the City of Las Vegas.
