Residents on Hillshire Drive and Camden Drive in Lewisville are bracing for a week of construction-related disruptions as alley repairs commence next month. SAZ Infrastructure, Inc. has been contracted by the City to carry out necessary repairs, a project that is slated to start on June 2 and forecasted to be completed by June 9, assuming the weather cooperates. Information about the scheduled works was disseminated via a social media post from Lewisville City Hall.
The construction will not just be a cause of noise and the usual inconvenience; it will specifically affect residents' driveway access. As stated in the post from Lewisville City Hall, "due to construction, access to driveways will be severely limited." This means that for approximately a week, the routine of pulling into one's own space of respite and privacy will be disrupted. To accommodate waste management during this period, residents will need to adapt by placing their trash and recycling carts in front of their residences for collection until the repairs are completed.
Recognizing the disturbance this will cause to the daily lives of the citizens, the City has extended apologies for any inconvenience and encouraged those with questions to reach out directly to the Street Division.
