Last Saturday, Carver County Sheriff's deputies were summoned to an unusual scene at the intersection of State Highway 41 and State Highway 5 in Chanhassen, where they discovered four rabbits in cages, accompanied by a green Igloo cooler. The curious find quickly turned into a public appeal for the owners to step forward and claim the lost property. This unusual incident was shared on the Carver County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, providing an opportunity for community engagement.
Fortunately, the case closed swiftly as the owner of the curious quartet was identified with the help of a resident, detailed in an updated social media post from the Sheriff’s Office. The fallen furry contenders were en route to an animal show when they inadvertently tumbled from their transport.
In the resolution of this small-town mystery, "The rabbits were not injured during the event," as quoted in an update from the Sheriff's Office.
