A man in his 50s was found deceased with gunshot wounds this past Saturday in the Vandeventer neighborhood. The incident, originally reported to have happened at 5:30 p.m., was actually called in just before 2:30 p.m., as the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reports.
Upon responding to the shooting, which took place at the 4200 block of Enright, District 5 officers discovered the victim suffering from injuries to his pelvis and leg. The emergency medical services pronounced him dead at the scene.
The Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department is taking an active role in the investigation, with homicide detectives currently spearheading the effort. According to the information from the police, the investigation is still underway as authorities work to ascertain what played out on that fateful afternoon.
