A man is now clinging to life at a local hospital following a shooting that occurred in Phoenix early Sunday morning. According to ABC15, the Phoenix police were summoned to a spot near I-17 and Thomas Road upon receiving reports of gunfire. Arriving at the scene, officers discovered an injured man with at least one gunshot wound who was promptly rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
While initial reports placed the shooting at the intersection near I-17 and Thomas Road, investigators quickly learned that the actual location of the incident was instead near 27th Avenue and Indian School Road. This has since led police to close off the area to thoroughly conduct their investigation. As of now, no suspects have been publicly identified, and the motives behind the shooting remain a mystery.
Further details released by AZ Family revealed that the shooting took place at a Motel 6 nestled close to Interstate 17 and Thomas Road. Yet, the distinction between the reported location and the actual location of the event suggests a gap in initial eyewitness accounts or perhaps a movement from the scene post-incident.
The current condition of the unnamed man remains precarious, as local hospitals and medical staff are working diligently to save his life.
