The Mankato Police Department is actively searching for an adult male suspect who allegedly threatened several juveniles at a local convenience store earlier this week. The incident occurred on Tuesday, at around 6:17 p.m. at the Kwik Trip located at 1701 Monks Avenue. According to the official report from the City of Mankato, attempts by officers to locate the man in the vicinity were unsuccessful following the dispatch of the complaint.
Law enforcement has described the suspect, citing that he is a black male, standing between 5’05” to 5’08” tall, with an average build and a black beard, estimated to be in his 30s to 40s. The suspect was last seen wearing a gray Reebok hoodie and a dark gray coat, as detailed by the City of Mankato. Additionally, he was carrying a bicycle tire at the time of the menacing encounter.
Authorities urge anyone who comes into contact with the suspect to exercise caution and immediately contact 911 with any information while maintaining a safe distance from the individual, as per the City of Mankato.
