In a sequence of events, King’s discovery is the second such case in the area within a week. Just days earlier, the body of 62-year-old R.C. Alexander was found nearby. A man, 28-year-old Jimmy Towns Fullilove, has been charged in connection with Alexander’s death after reportedly confessing to his involvement, details provided by FOX13 Memphis.
Mr. King was reported missing by his family last Saturday, two days after he was last seen when he left his Charter Avenue home and did not return, according to the City Watch alert issued by the Memphis Police. His family expressed concern for his safety, communicating to officials that they had not heard from him since, as mentioned in the missing person's report documented by Action News 5.
