In a statement obtained by the City of Miami Beach, the construction of this new landmark is made possible with a substantial $392 million loan from TYKO Capital, marking the largest monetary infusion Miami has seen for a standalone hotel in more than ten years.

Set for Friday, from 9-11:30 a.m., with the ceremony commencing at 9:30 a.m., the groundbreaking event invites key figures, including Steven Meiner, Mayor of Miami Beach; Daniella Levine-Cava, Mayor of Miami-Dade County; Terra's CEO David Martin; Jackie Soffer, Chairman & CEO of Turnberry; Pete Sears, Hyatt's Group President for the Americas; and David Whitaker, President & CEO of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, among other civic and community leaders, to witness the substantial stride towards the city's economic and touristic development.

Attendees are advised there will be no onsite parking, however, arrangements have been made at the G5 Parking Garage at 640 17 Street Miami Beach, FL with the organizers stressing the necessity of wearing closed-toe flat shoes due to the current conditions of the site, as indicated in the advisory on the City of Miami Beach's announcement
