His academic path is deeply linked to both awarding organizations, Crawford, an alumnus from Kent State, obtained his bachelor's degree in Physics in 1987 there, followed by a master's and a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics, it was also where he met his spouse, Dr. Renate Crawford, who serves as University Ambassador, President Crawford told Miami University while celebrating in April the storied history of AMLCI, which commemorated its 60th anniversary by recognizing the achievements of its community members with 15 awards.
