In a display of compassion etched into the very walls of the Miami-Dade County Animal Services, a new mural stands as a tribute to the lives of two remarkable dogs, Brady and Hunter Fox. According to a press release from Miami-Dade County, this artwork is a partnership venture with The Brady Hunter Foundation, meant to honor the legacy of the pets who sparked a wave of animal advocacy.
The narrative of Brady, who left the world back in 2021, and Hunter, who followed in April 2025, has been colorfully captured by Miami-based artist Jay Ramirez. In their death, they continue to inspire life by making a difference through The Brady Hunter Foundation. Their legacy helps to not only actively provide "Paw-ventures" - essentially walks, enrichment, and attention - for shelter dogs at MDAS but also to fund critical medical care for animals across numerous shelters.
The event will be graced by Annette Jose, the Director of Miami-Dade County Animal Services; Josh Fox, the heart behind The Brady Hunter Foundation; and the artist who translated their legacy to canvas, Jay Ramirez. Slated for tomorrow, this mural unveiling ceremony at the Pet Adoption and Protection Center calls upon the community to witness a moment of artistic homage and collective remembrance.
Jay Ramirez's mural goes beyond visual appeal, capturing the deep bond between humans and animals in a piece meant to leave a lasting impact. According to the official announcement, the public unveiling will take place from 3 to 4 p.m., with all community members welcome to attend. The event will feature light refreshments and heartfelt speeches.
The free event will take place at 3599 NW 79th Avenue, Doral, FL 33122. For additional details and visuals, including interviews with the key figures associated with the initiative, as well as the photo or video of the mural's official reveal, the resources are available through the Miami-Dade County release.
