The Midwest City Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred at a high school graduation party last Friday, in which 21-year-old Ethan Buycks lost his life. KFOR reports that the shooting took place around 10:20 p.m. near the 3300 block of N. Oak Grove Drive, as officers arrived on scene to find people running and driving away from the chaos.

Upon their arrival, Ethan Buycks was found in the front yard of a residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. Despite life-saving measures performed by officers and subsequent transport to OU Medical, Buycks was pronounced dead at the hospital. According to OKCFOX, the party was an open invitation event for recently graduated high school students, which saw attendance of around 100 people.

As the investigation unfolds, detectives and investigators have questioned residents and witnesses in the neighborhood, attempting to piece together the events that led to Buycks' untimely demise. Meanwhile, the Midwest City Police have not released a suspect description, and there's an ongoing appeal to the public for information. "Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Doolittle at (405) 739-1328 or the Midwest City Police non-emergency line at (405) 739-1388," said an official from the police department, as NewsOn6 reports.
