In a brief update that comes as a collective sigh of relief to the Jackson Township community, the police department announced that the missing 15-year-old, Brytan Clark, was found safe and has been returned home. The alert to residents had been issued when the young teen had not been seen since departing the vicinity of Harbor Dr NW on foot.
Details surrounding the circumstances of Brytan's disappearance and how he was located remain limited, but the social media post from the Jackson Township Police Department expressed gratitude to the community: "*** UPDATE*** The juvenile has been located and is home safe. Thank you for your help in sharing the post." Prior to this resolution, the department had sought the public's assistance in locating the blue-eyed juvenile, described as a 6-foot-tall male, weighing approximately 145 pounds with blond hair.
The initial plea for help from the police came complete with a description of what Brytan was last seen wearing, which included white shorts, a white and black shirt, and white shoes. It was thought that someone must have information that could steer the investigation in the right direction, leading to Brytan's safe return. The community's role in circulating the descriptive details was crucial, and the Jackson Township Police Department emphasized this in their acknowledgement of the community support. The case, referenced as JTPD Case #25-24496, was yet another instance where public engagement in sharing information played a pivotal part in a successful outcome.
