According to a recent MoDOT traffic alert, Route Z will be closed just south of U.S. Route 60 at the railroad tracks in Fordland for railroad maintenance work by BNSF.
The closure is scheduled to take place starting at 7 a.m. on Thursday and is expected to last until 5 p.m. on Friday. Urging drivers to seek alternative paths, MoDOT has yet to plan any signed detours. Residents will still have access to their properties during this period, fully closing Douglas County Route Z to through traffic at Missouri Route 14 in Dogwood.

For the duration of this railroad work, those using Route Z will need to find alternate routes, with the hope of minimizing disruptions. No signed detours are being planned by the transportation officials, they recommend that drivers allow for extra travel time and exercise caution when navigating near the work zone.
