A vehicular accident in El Paso's lower valley on Tuesday resulted in several people being injured, with emergency services swiftly responding to the scene. According to KVIA, the El Paso Fire Department reported that three individuals were injured in the crash, with two of them receiving serious injuries requiring hospitalization, and another sustaining minor injuries.
Fire crews were able to extract two passengers from a vehicle post-collision. As detailed by KFOX-TV, Special Rescue units were summoned but were later canceled when the on-scene teams were able to manage using their equipment. Two other passengers involved in the incident were assessed by medical professionals but refused transport to the hospital.
The scene was a testament to the prompt action and preparedness of El Paso's first responders. As narrated by KTSM, the El Paso Fire Department's Special Rescue crew was initially called to assist in a possible extraction. The department stated the need for the specialized unit was negated when "crews on scene were able to handle (the situation) with their tools."
