On the evening of Wednesday, violence interrupted the calm of Cascade Road in Southwest Atlanta. According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers were dispatched to 2261 Cascade Road SW following reports of multiple individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
The scene, which unfolded just before 9 p.m., revealed three men with injuries consistent with gunfire: one to the neck, another to the leg, and a third to the right hand. In a statement released by the police, all three victims were described as "alert, conscious, breathing," and were promptly transported to the hospital for treatment.
Amid the chaos, it was later discovered that an additional victim had self-transported to a local hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound to his groin. This male, also alert and conscious, received care from medical professionals. The Atlanta Police Department's Aggravated Assault Unit arrived on scene to parse through the evidence, endeavoring to piece together the events that led to this shooting.
