Orlando's The Abbey is set to host Nekrogoblikon’s “Show Me Your Goblin Tour” tomorrow. The California-based metal band, distinguished by its goblin-themed persona and ear-splitting riffs, returns to a city that has shown affinity for the fantastical creatures, as previously noted by Orlando Weekly. Along with the headliners, a slate of diverse acts will electrify the stage, promising a sonically rich experience for fans of death metal, thrash, deathcore, and grindcore.
Joining the theatrical headliners are bands Revocation, Ov Sulfur, and BRAT, each bringing a distinct sound and style to the night. BRAT, originating from New Orleans with a self-described "Bimboviolence" aesthetic, is led by frontwoman Liz Selfish, who has been likened to "Britney Spears gone bad," according to information shared by Bungalower. Tickets for the event are retailing at $29.50, plus service fees, and audiences are encouraged to secure their spots rapidly for an unbridled night of relentless music.
Nekrogoblikon has built its reputation with viral hits like "No One Survives," and their latest album, "The Fundamental Slimes and Humours," continues the tradition of melding melodic death metal with humor, with Orlando Weekly pointing out the ease with which the band members adopt their onstage goblin identities. The group's frontman, John Goblikon, is also an author, with works like "John Goblikon’s Guide to Living Your Best Life" adding to his unique blend of musicianship and goblin lore.
