The Kiwanis Dog Park grand opening is set for Saturday, May 31, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., with the official ribbon-cutting scheduled for 8:30 a.m. The event is happening at the northern end of Kiwanis Park, near Ash Avenue and Baseline Road. The event promises fun, with giveaways and snacks to celebrate the occasion.
The latest addition to the city's parks offers a little something for every pooch, featuring four distinct pods that include a small dog area, an agility course, water features, and two shade structures. New trees, sidewalks, and better lighting are in place to improve the whole park experience. Once the doors are open to the muttropolis, dogs and their humans can enjoy the park daily, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Further enhancements to the north side of Kiwanis Park are on the summer agenda, the announcement said. The plans include a new playground, concessions, restrooms, and public art, elevating the park experience for both two-legged and four-legged visitors.
