The New Orleans Police Department is searching for a suspect involved in a stolen vehicle case after the vehicle’s owner located it in the 7300 block of Chef Menteur Highway. On Saturday last week, officers from the NOPD’s Seventh District responded to a call from the owner, who had tracked down the vehicle and found an unknown individual in possession of it.
According to the New Orleans Police Department News, before police arrived, the suspect fled on foot, leaving behind multiple stolen items. Officers recovered three vehicles, a trailer, and three engines, all reported stolen. The discovery suggests the presence of a larger theft operation in the area.
The New Orleans Police Department is requesting public assistance in identifying and locating the suspect. Anyone with information about the crimes at the location or the suspect’s identity is encouraged to contact Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070 or anonymously reach out to Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
