The attack, which occurred early in the morning of February 27, left one individual with serious injuries. NOPD described the suspect as a "Black male dressed as a female," who was last seen in the vicinity of the 1100 block of Decatur Street, as per the details shared by NOPD News.
The incident unfolded at approximately 2:50 a.m., when the suspect allegedly engaged in an act that qualifies as second degree battery under Louisiana law – that is, intentionally inflicting serious bodily injury to another person. Following the confrontation, the suspect reportedly fled the area, the NOPD issued a call for assistance from anyone with information that could lead to the suspect's identification and arrest.
