New Orleans Police are seeking assistance in locating two individuals wanted in connection to a vehicle burglary, access device fraud, and a hit-and-run incident. The suspects, identified as Demella Walker, born on December 22, 2004, and Derneca Walker, born on September 2, 2002, are both Black females, as reported by the New Orleans Police Department.
The events in question took place on Monday, when, according to the New Orleans Police Department, the Walker sisters were involved in a minor traffic collision at the intersection of Palmyra and South White Streets. Post-incident, the suspects allegedly demanded monetary compensation from the other party involved in the accident. Upon the victim's refusal to pay, opting instead to wait for law enforcement, the suspects reportedly took property from the victim's car before making their escape.
A warrant is out for Demella and Derneca Walker. The New Orleans Police Department are asking the public for help and have shared more details and photos of the suspects on their news blog. Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
