The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle and driver involved in a hit-and-run that seriously injured a bicyclist. The incident occurred on Canal Street at the intersection with Marais Street. According to the New Orleans Police Department News, the vehicle continued traveling lake bound on Canal Street and was last seen heading toward Claiborne Avenue.
Investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a black pickup truck, possibly a model from 2015 to 2020. It is described as having a lift-kit, green LED undercarriage lights, and orange grill lights. The New Orleans Police Department has not yet released a description of the driver.
Anyone with knowledge about the vehicle or the incident is encouraged to submit tips through the department’s official channels. The investigation is ongoing.
